- "...Dave, the 14-year-old webmaster for the Redwall Abbey Homepage, one of the children’s literature world’s most popular Web sites, gives step-by-step directions for creating a personal Web page... this covers the language and other basics rapidly but clearly. There’s ample discussion of the bells and whistles, too -- sound, images, backgrounds, and animations -- and Dave’s personal experience comes through on every page, with frequent inserts, "Dave’s Advice", to help young webmasters avoid potential pitfalls. Each chapter also includes an example from Dave’s personal page... the information is both practical and clear."

Want to create your own web site? Not sure where to begin? Afraid it might be expensive?
Dave's book shows how to get free web design software, free internet access, free web server space, and a free web-based e-mail address.
Then Dave takes you step-by-step through the web site creation process. Begin with a simple page. Add links, color, images, a background, sound, animation, and a message banner. Create a professional layout using tables.
Convert your simple page to a multi-page web site. Add an image map, a visitor counter, a guest book, and a password-protected area. Convert to a free easy-to-remember web site address. Then register your web site with the key search engines.
Dave's Quick 'n' Easy Web Pages is used by North American educators from fifth grade through college. Great for small business owners too.

In 1996, Dave Lindsay became webmaster for Brian Jacques, best-selling author of the Redwall adventure series for young people. The Official Redwall Abbey Web Site currently attracts 38,000 visitors a month from over 120 countries. Netscape rates it the 76,635th most popular site on the Internet. Of the up to 200 e-mails Dave receives a day, many ask for help creating a new web page or improving an existing web page. Dave wrote this book to answer those requests for help. Now 16, Dave is in the eleventh grade, preparing to study computer science at university. He creates commercial web sites in his spare time.
