The Build Your Own Redwall Abbey Kit, a three dimensional model kit, is a detailed construction of the entire Abbey. The kit does not require you to do any work where you might accidentally damage a piece, and render the whole model useless. It's printed in full colour on tough cardboard. Each window, door, and rampart is already punched out, and ready to be assembled. No cutting, taping, or gluing is needed.
The level of detail is amazing. The Abbey is multi-floored, and includes even the pictures that hang on the walls. Each door is hinged, and every piece has a tab or link of some sort to hold it attached with the rest of the Abbey.
The instruction booklet that comes with the kit is every bit as detailed as the Abbey itself, and guides you through how to piece together every bit of the Abbey step by step. In total, the Abbey consists of 23 pre-assembled pieces, a weather vane, 16 Redwall characters, and a 16 page, illustrated story titled Warrior's Code.
When completed the model stands about 16" tall and sits on a laminated mat (about 32" X 23") depicting the Abbey grounds.
